Why location matters

Island Brač, Croatia

Island Brač is the biggest island in Central Dalmatia. The length of the island is about 40 km and width is about 12 km. With the total area of 395 km2 it is the third biggest island in the Adriatic. The distance from the land is 6 to 13 km.

The climate of the island is featured by Mediterranean climate, warm and dry summers and short and temperate winters. Brač belongs to the most sunny Adriatic areas with about 2700 sunny hours per year. The average winter temperature is 9 degrees while summer’s is 25 °C. During summer, almost every day, landward breeze blows so the man feels as if he is in the Carribean.

By the coast of Brač the sea is relatively warm: in August 21-25 °C, and in February from 11-14 °C. Microbiologically, the sea around Brač is classed among categories of clean sea which is  favorable to fish and shells cultivation as well as to swimming, recreational and sea sports. Sea polution around Brač island is minimal, since there are no bigger towns and no industrial plants on the island. Purity, clearness and blueness of the sea in Brač small bays are almost of the unique advantages.

Brač has maritime transport by ferries to and from Split, one of the biggest urban and tourist town in the Adriatic. Split is transportationally connected with Europe by one of the most modern highways. Split airport has already been reconstructed and modernized so that it becomes the important world destination not only during summer season but also during the rest of the year. A lot of forests on the island and high hills make you feel mountainous atmosphere. Far from the coast about twenty minutes by car, there is the mountain peak Vidova gora which is the highest (app 800 m) peak of all island’s peaks in the Adriatic. The view from the peak is stunning, breathtaking and infinite wherever you watch. Regardless of their luxurious appearance, the island Brač is famous for its hospitality. There are almost no criminal activities. Houses and villas  do not have safety grids and many citizens and guests do not lock their houses or cars. Is that possible anywhere else in the world?

Villa Butterfly is situated in a romantic, old fishing village Postire which is in the north side of the island Brač facing the land and the mountain range Dinara. The village Postire is just about ten kilometers away from ferry port of Supetar, one of several links with the land. Villa Butterfly is a completely new building, it hasn’t been rented to tourists yet and no one has used it up to now. In Croatian Adriatic it is a curiosity to sell a brand new building since the others have been rented or used prior to selling.

The building is in completely urban area with all the facilities required. It has sewage system and water supply directly connected to local waterworks supplied with impeccably pure mountain water brought  by giant water pipes under the sea, from 2000 m mountain spring on land. But, the Investors also fitted in mighty water filters Viessmann which refines water and removes its impurities and hardness which is very important for everyday life.

In the vicinity of Postire village and its suburb there is uninhabited and protected nature, almost wilderness with magnificent recreational, relaxation and enjoyment centers.

Twenty minutes drive from Postire there is Bol with its Zlatni Rat beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Just a few minutes walk far from the Villa is the pharmacy, ambulance, kindergarten and many shops. There you can see some hotels,  lots of restaurants and coffee shops and many cultivated and wild beaches, bike lanes and infinite opportunities for water sports.

Brač airport is just twenty kilometers far from the Villa. Brand new and modern yacht marina is only about a hundred meters far from the Villa.
